[Moringen, May 17, 2024] ACHEMA is the top global trade fair for the process industry, held every three years in Frankfurt am Main. From June 10th to 14th, 2024, it will be the place to be for all things process industry technology and services. Piller Blowers & Compressors GmbH will be there again. The company will be showcasing the PILLER VapoStation, a new solution for a serial connect system for Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) applications based on the VapoFans, at booth G 65 in Hall 4.0.

"The VapoStation makes it possible to implement a serial connect system in MVR applications with VapoFans in a much more compact, modular design," says Gunther Röllgen, Head of Product Management at PILLER. "Plus, the VapoFans are arranged on a consistent horizontal level, and the system as a whole is only 2.5 m tall." The new VapoStation design combines the reliable performance, high efficiency, and extensive performance range of the VapoFan with a smaller footprint for our serial connect applications and optimized access for maintenance and service. Plus, the base frame and connecting pipes with flexible joints are included in the scope of supply of a PILLER VapoStation.

Extended range of performance for more customer-specific solutions

But it is not just the new, compact design of the VapoStation that gives customers more flexibility and tailor-made solutions for their processes. With a new 160 KW motor, PILLER is also expanding the performance range of the VapoFan. As a steam compressor, the VapoFan can be used as a modular solution for low mass flows with the new motor type for applications with mass flows of up to 9,000 kg/h. “The expansion of the VapoFan’s range of services is a direct response to numerous customer inquiries from various industries and thus to specific market requirements,” says Dr. Steffen Kuberczyk, Chief Sales Officer at PILLER. All PILLER VapoFans, with motors in the power levels 37, 55, 90 and 160 KW, are driven by a VFD with up to 13,500 rpm. All PILLER VapoFans are great for installing a compact evaporator system. They are small, easy to install, and provide new capabilities for energy and cost savings.

Lectures as part of the accompanying conference

PILLER will not only present the innovative VapoStation at ACHEMA 2024 but will also actively participate in the program of the accompanying congress with two lectures. On June 10, from 16:10 to 16:35, Dr. Gregor Schumm, Head of Process Engineering at Piller Blowers & Compressors GmbH, will give a lecture titled "Options and Limits with PILLER Blower and Compressor Technology" as part of the overarching session “Heat integration in process industry through mechanical vapour recompression – WindaB”. On June 12, from 10:30 to 11:00, a case study will be presented. Dr. Steffen Kuberczyk, Global Sales Officer at Piller Blowers & Compressors GmbH, will present the successful application of PILLER technology at a customer's site in his presentation "Heat Recovery from a Pot Still - A Case Study on a Very High Temperature Heat Pump using MVR Technology in a Batch Distillation Process".
